How I Make Our Home Smell Like Anthropologie

If you have ever walked into an Anthropologie store, you know what I am talking about. Side note – did you actually know they pump their signature scents through the vents to enhance the customer experience inside their stores? Magic. But what is not magic is the chemicals and harmful ingredients that come in those synthetic fragrances. I have previously shared why our family said goodbye to all synthetic scents in our home. Anything we can do to improve our home to make it a place we can thrive? We decided we would do. Any change we can make to support our health in the best way possible? It was something we would take on. The best part in that was discovering essential oils. The most basic way to use them is with a diffuser and that is how I make our home smell like Anthropologie.

And of course, I am sharing that along with other popular scents I use to love. Oh yes, I was the gal in line for the Bath & Body Works annual candle sale stockpiling. That is… until I learned how harmful they are to mine and my family’s health!

So, how is it that I can make our home smell like Anthropologie? Just a few oils combined makes my absolute favorite scent that is inspired by the Capri Blue Volcano candle that Anthropologie is known for. On their site they describe it as: Tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens. And if you haven’t yet smelled this scent before it is divine. Here is how you can make it for yourself!

Capri Blue Volcano Inspired Essential Oil Diffuser Recipe:

  • 4 drops orange or tangerine
  • 4 drops lime
  • 4 drops lemon
  • 3 drops grapefruit
  • 3 drops northern lights black spruce
  • 2 drop bergamot

It may seem like a lot of drops, but I live for a strong scent pumping through our diffusers in our home and creating the perfect ambiance. With the Aria, this is a great amount of oil to get a solid scent. However, if you are diffusing with a smaller diffuser and in a smaller space, feel free to reduce the number of drops. I will also fill a dropper bottle with the same recipe (but multiplying it several times) which acts as a “diffuser bomb”. This way I don’t have to grab all the bottles every time. I simply just reach for the dropper bottle with all of the oils already combined. So convenient!

And of course, I have to share the other candle scents that you just might love too. I am so glad that I can still get all of these gorgeous scents in my home without the extra junk!
