Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Kicking off the week with all of this gorgeous inspiration when it comes to open shelves in the kitchen and styling that adds warmth and character. I know open kitchen shelves are either loved or hated. One of the cons that are always mentioned is the upkeep and it not being as functional as closed cabinetry. However, I find open shelves to be so welcoming in this space within a home. And I think they can be functional with intentional choices when it comes to dishes, utensils, etc. Here are seven open kitchen shelf scroll stoppers that will win you over!

Seven Open Kitchen Shelf Scroll Stoppers

This first look is extremely functional in my opinion. In my own kitchen, I would be reaching for most of these things daily. Which, in that case, I think would help with one of the cons voiced over open kitchen shelving and which is dust collecting on everything. I love the mix of the clean white subway tile and the wood tones in the bowls, boards, and utensils.

This next one from Studio McGee is a great option for a smaller space, but that can still be done so beautifully with a few open shelves. At the very top, you have a touch of added decor for interest, but everything else is things you would be reaching for.

With this next one, I love the open shelving paired with glass cabinet doors. I think a kitchen can feel very heavy with all the traditionally closed cabinets. With open shelves, it automatically makes a kitchen feel inviting and as if it has breathing room. And when you pair glass cabinet doors with open shelves? That breathing room becomes even more expansive! I love this look.

If you ever need styling inspiration, you need not look any further than Public 311 Design. They are brilliant at their work. For me, I love the “over-styling” of this one. It may not be AS functional, but I love that it throws the rules out the window with the added decor. All of the layers really work together to give it some dimension and the mix of crisp white, warm wood tones, and green is stunning.

And in contrast, this minimalistic approach is just as beautiful. One single shelf with a few added details really fills an empty corner of the kitchen in the best way!
