My Dearest Little Ones, 

I hope you never forget the special and tender moments we shared as a family last night before your first day of another school year. From asking each of you about one important goal you wanted to set for yourself to achieve, to your back-to-school gifts that hold so much meaning for our family to the sweetest and most heartfelt blessings you each received from your Dad.

Our humble summer was a special one and not one that I will soon forget, but watching the three of you embark on another year of school – of learning, of growing and of being out in the world as much as you can be at your young age – it is such a gift as your parents to get to watch you experience it all. And I hope that, despite what you may face outside of our home, you remember who you are and what you stand for. Remember to be the first one to smile at others in the hallway, to be the friend when someone doesn’t have one and to speak kindly and treat others as you would want to be treated. Remember that despite the negative things we face, there is so much good out there. Be the ones to add to the light and build others up. And do it all while remembering that your father and I love you more than words could ever express.

Each of you has such amazing and unique gifts and we are so excited to see what you accomplish over the next 10 months. Thank you for making this journey of parenthood such a sweet ride. We are cheering you on, supporting you through everything and so, so proud of the young people you already are and will continue to become.
