My dearest Owen,

Today you turn four and this past year has been one of the greatest.

We have watched you discover new things and growing into the next phase of childhood. You started preschool this year and your excitement for all things learning has been one of the most enjoyable things to witness. You are growing by leaps and bounds and your confidence grows day by day. You still get frustrated seeing your older brother and sister get to do things that you are not old enough for yet, but your time will come and it will be amazing to witness you accomplish more and more.

Never forget that you are an amazing boy with some of the most unique and beautiful attributes. And the patience you have at your age keeps your father and I in awe and I hope it is something you never lose. Owen, you have a typical boy exterior with one of the softest hearts. That is also something I hope you never lose. It is a gift and one that people will value who come into your life later.

Always remember that you are loved beyond words. And I am honored to be your mother. Happy birthday, my sweet boy.
