My latest finds and obsessions for June | HausOfLayne.com

Since April I have made it a point to start sharing more of my favorite things and latest finds with you. This started coming about in my Weekend Favorites series, but recently has turned into more of a monthly thing instead. Because my number one priority is to always be authentic and transparent with you, I wanted to make sure and clarify exactly what these are because we all know how big ads and sponsored posts are for bloggers and influencers these days. It can get a bit overwhelming and I am right there with you.

The products that I share as my ‘latest finds and obsessions’ with you that display on my sidebar and that I will chat about on social media are things that I have purchased for myself or have been told about my friends to try. These are things that I have purchased and have fallen in love with or that I have just stumbled upon and want to make sure you can check it out as well. These product companies or brands have not approached me to share anything and I am not being sent sponsored swag to tell you about them. The one thing I may receive (when you purchase something I link to from Amazon) is a kickback of a few cents. It’s nothing to write home about, but these items are what I am using in my daily life. I always appreciate when someone shares something that is working for them or that they love and I want to do the same here. Just sharing the goodness is all and I hope that you have been enjoying them.

So, without further ado I want to share with you my latest finds and obsessions for the month of June. Keep scrolling!

Burt’s Bees Lip Oil. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen me chatting about this lip product. I have been using it for just over a week and love it! It gives you color like a lipstick, but wears like a lip balm or chapstick. Here in Phoenix and with it being triple digit summer weather, the last thing I want to feel like is that I have makeup on and dripping. I love the lighter feel of this. So far I have purchased ‘Showering Sunset’ and ‘Crimson Breeze’ and both are fantastic! You can find them here.

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. This was a book that I was told about by a few people who have gone the natural healing route to fix health issues and who have really embraced the world of meditation to work through either health or mental ailments. I just jumped into it last week and I have to say it’s been really great. Because I am just beginning the path of really harnessing my mental and physical energy to work through anxiety and other physical ailments I have been truly informed on the power our minds have over us and our health. It’s fascinating and while I am still new to it all, I have loved focusing my energy on something that will create change for me after last year’s breakdown. (If you have followed me for awhile you know all about this, but if you are new here you can read about the raw and real over here). Anyway, if you find yourself on the same path or beginning to explore the natural methods to healing your mind and body, be sure and check this book out and tell me what you think.

Threshold Wicker Tray with Wood Handles from Target. During one of my weekly trips to the motherland, I stumbled upon this marked down on clearance and loved it! I’m currently trying to collect more detail pieces to add throughout our home to finally make things feel “filled” and this was a steal. You can find it on their website at a great clearance price, but I found it at my local store for only $12.50. So if you are heading there anyway, check the home decor aisles first to see if you can score it cheaper. Or if you just want to make sure you definitely get it before they are gone, you can snag it online here.

Hilfiger Woman Pear Blossom by Tommy Hilfiger. Does everyone remember Tommy Girl perfume and how big that was in the 90’s? Never would I think I would look to Tommy Hilfiger for a grown up, big girl perfume, but here it is (no offense, Mr.Hilfiger). Okay, so this isn’t a recent find, but it is for sure an obsession. Going on three years now. When it comes to perfume, I find it really difficult to find something that isn’t too fruity, too sweet or too manly. You know what I mean? It really does need to be the perfect combination. And I also can’t stand spending triple digits on this stuff. I am extremely simple. I don’t like a lot of fuss, but I will spend money on things that are quality and that are absolutely perfect. The best part about this scent? It’s perfect and I get compliments whenever I wear it. Even better? It’s always under $80 dollars. And right now actually you can snag it for only $20 which is fantastic. I order it from Amazon only because it’s not something that stores seem to carry continually. I originally came across it at a Kohl’s several years ago and then again at an Ulta, but it’s not consistent of who carries it and the Amazon price always seems to be so much better.

DoTerra OnGuard Oil Blend. The world of oils is still fairly new to me and I have just started diving in over the past three months or so. I have shared a few things here or there and I am learning tons from those of you who have been incorporating essential oils into your daily life and are experts on the subject. I have to say I have loved it so far. My newest excitement is this oil blend from DoTerra. I decided to purchase this one a few weeks back when our Miss Blake came down really sick with a viral infection. I wanted to make sure we were doing everything we could to keep the germs and sickness at bay with all of the activities we enjoy outside of the home during summer. Just after this arriving, our Owen went down with what we thought was the same thing Blake had until we heard that awful “seal bark” cough in the middle of the night. Immediately, I was terrified we were dealing with croup. (All of our other experiences with croup have been the absolute worst kind with trips to the emergency room and you fellow parents who have gone through it know how scary it can be) Anyway, I jumped out of bed and immediately added a few drops to our humidifier (I have yet to purchase a diffuser) and put it right on him for the duration of the evening and for the entire next day. I was shocked to see that nothing more came of it and he simply dealt with congestion for the next 48 hours and was back to normal after that. Now, It could have been that we got lucky, but my gut is telling me the oil blend had a lot to do with it. And it definitely got me pumped to keep moving forward with incorporating more oils into our daily life. Anyway, you can snag it online here if you want to have it for yourself.

There you have it! I hope you find something that you love as well and I will be sharing another handful of my favorite things and latest finds for July so stay tuned!
