Every morning as part of my morning routine, I pull open my podcast library and listen to the newest episodes from my favorites while I do my makeup. Then I will slip my phone into my back pocket and keep listening as I make my morning Crio Bru, sit down at my desk, check my emails, and get started with my day. It has made all the difference in my creativity levels. Education usually does – I love learning. I wanted to make sure and share with you my top ten favorite podcasts for creative entrepreneurs that have made all the difference for me.
It took me a long time to jump on the podcast train. Don’t get me wrong – I love inspiration. I love consuming anything and everything that will not only better me as a business owner and professional creative, but also as an individual. My personal library is overflowing with self-help books, motivational books, and business books. (There actually isn’t a single fiction book in sight) I just always figured I was more of a reader than a listener. It didn’t seem appetizing to consume information any other way.
However, I was completely wrong! Call you girls addicted because ever since I infused it into my morning routine it changed the game. I have grown to love this change so I wanted to share them with you!
I always appreciate those who are willing to speak directly and honestly. A no-fluff, tough love kind of approach. Ed not only discusses business and life with his guests, but he also does episodes when it is just him and those are always my favorite. What he teaches on self-discipline and visualization is incredible and I find his story extremely inspiring.
Marie Forleo is a woman who just knows how to do it. She has successfully found her place as a multi-passionate entrepreneur and her podcast is both business and self-improvement. She also has an extremely popular YouTube channel.
This is a podcast that is a must for any business owner. I have learned so much through Amy’s podcast from strategic approaches to Facebook ads to how to handle pivoting in business. She has built quite the empire for herself and puts it all out there through her podcast.
If you are a blogger and have an interest in really taking everything by the reins instead of waiting for opportunities, Julie is your girl. Not only is she an extremely successful PR and marketing expert, but the guests she interviews are the top in the industry and really give you that behind-the-scenes and in-depth look into the entire blogging and influencer business that can sometimes seem so overwhelming. She also has a course, Pitch It Perfect, that I invested in last year for both myself and my marketing manager. It had wonderful insight and advice as she walks you through the process of approaching brands and pitching your content.
Basically, anything John says hits home like no other for me. I find his thoughts on leadership and success to be so profound.
Jenna has a great story and one that is relatable so to see what she has built at a young age is inspiring. Her insight into business and life as an entrepreneur is always a great listen. I promise you will never be short of new pieces of wisdom to apply to your own business.
This is such a great one and what Donald discusses is priceless for a business owner. One thing my mentor reminded me of just recently was that ‘a confused mind never buys’. What Donald teaches is exactly the knowledge you need to approach this part of your business strategically. I love that his podcast covers various areas of business and always leaves me with a new nugget of inspiration.
Allie’s podcast is a newer one for me, but as a fellow Nashville gal I wanted to make sure and tune in. And wow. She has incredible insight into social media marketing. I adore her honest and direct education when it comes to harnessing the power of social media and really finding success in it.
If you haven’t yet discovered Jasmine, she is a colorful package packed with attitude. But the girl knows her stuff when it comes to Instagram. She teaches best practices, how to build your audience, how to clarify your message, and how to handle the absolute headache the algorithms can be.
Chalene is a ball of energy and has been wildly successful in building her brand. In the Build Your Tribe podcast, she and her son both share insights into boosting automated sales, creating additional streams of revenue, telling your story, and converting followers into loyal customers.
There you go! My top ten favorite podcasts for creative entrepreneurs and the ones that I am currently listening to! Have you jumped into of these already? Have any others that I need to dive into myself? I would love to hear!
