I believe in living simple. Not the kind that is rooted in minimalism or the notion of giving away everything you own. No, the simple life I strive for is one rooted in intention. It's rooted in the soul. One of dinner table gatherings and bedtime stories, of family traditions, simple summer adventures, and front porch chats. One that allows roots to take deeper hold and for hearts to feel at peace. In a society that is constantly telling us to want more, have more, and do more, I find myself yearning for far less. It’s a craving for contentment and connection amongst the commotion and constant demands. I believe in the power and freedom that comes when we are willing to ’frequently and ruthlessly' edit our lives - to truly design the life we live and not just settle for it by default. To intentionally curate and purposefully cultivate the home we create to the work that we do. It is through this honest effort that one can build a refuge from the overwhelming noise of today. Where a harmonious clarity is found - one that quenches the thirst of an old soul in a modern day world. One that allows us to know without a doubt what is and what is not for us. A clarity that allows us to make choices and decisions that align with our values. Where we turn away from the hurried pace and excessive consumption and instead turn inward. To give ourselves the quiet space to develop our own personal style, unfettered by trends. To establish a home that elevates our everyday, where we can melt into the comfort it contains. And to truly move to the beat of our own internal rhythm. When we are able to go deeper and not wider, do less and not more, only then will we experience the quiet and honest luxury found in simplicity. And in the chaos of today's modern world, I cannot think of anything more wonderful or beautiful than that.

Content creator, graphic designer, educator, wife to the Bearded Gent, mother of five, purveyor of the old-fashioned, seeker of simplicity, and curator of classics with a heart for making things beautiful.

You could say it's been a journey of passion to profession -

HI THERE -

Ever since I can remember I have had a craving for making things beautiful - styling things around my childhood home, the effort I would put into making even the most mundane things as aesthetic and as pleasing to the eye as possible, and I yearned for things to be simple and honest. Little did I know I would find a fulfilling career from it.

Yes, I get to spend my days creating beautiful things, but what I do goes far beyond aesthetics. It's about stripping away the excess and finding clarity among the noise. So often in today's world we feel the pressure of wanting, having, and doing more - in our home, our business, our life. And I am just a girl shouting from the rooftops that the real luxuries in life are found in simplicity.

When we are willing to say no to the hurried pace of the world and intentionally curate and purposely cultivate the home and life we want and know that we deserve? Only then will we truly be able to live a life that leaves us feeling fulfilled rather than depleted. And making it all beautiful?

everything and be everywhere to stand out above the noise is all too real. Let's simplify while making it all beautiful.

I was the little girl dressing up in my grandmother's skirts, pretending to "tend the land" in the backyard. This, I'm sure, was influenced by my infatuation with the musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The idea of living in the mountains, off the land, and finding a rugged bearded gentleman to do it all with sparked something in me apparently.

As I got older, I could be found organizing the fridge and pantry on the weekends and the gifts under the tree at Christmas time all for aesthetics and the joy it brought to see simple things done beautifully.
