I love getting to show you a little behind the scenes as to what it is that I do as a brand designer. If you are like me and live for good branding, seeing transformations, and are simply just naturally curious when it comes to the inner workings of marketing these days, you are in good company. I figured what better way to invite you into this part of my world than through some case studies! This first one is a true favorite and one that I loved working on. So we’ll call this one ‘Case Study: Optimizing the online presence of a North Carolina Airbnb’.
Jen & Jeff felt overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start when it came to a website for their North Carolina Airbnb rental. Farm Trouvaille is an incredibly unique rental property in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina that needed a stronger and equally unique online presence to convey the experience their guests can expect. While Jen and Jeff didn’t even know what they really wanted and had been relying on social media up until this point, they knew that they needed a proper online presence.
To cultivate a stronger online presence and a place for their guests to be immersed in their world and have all the tools necessary to properly plan their North Carolina getaway.
And that is just what we did. For their project, it made the most sense to utilize a TONIC template to build them a website on the ShowIt platform. As a designer, there are times when I know a custom website is the absolute best fit and when a well-built template can do the job. However, I always have to mention, that not every website template out there is created equal. Don’t make the mistake of simply purchasing a template by looks alone. The reason I point my clients to TONIC is because of the strategy that their templates are built with.
And yeah, I used to be their senior designer so I may be a little bias as well – wink!
Okay, back to the project. After I worked with them to select just the right template to fit their needs best, we got to work on truly making it their own.
We curated a beautiful online presence for their brand and Airbnb property that is as unique as the experience they offer their guests. From adding an online shop for their upcoming merch line as well as building out an interactive seasonal calendar, their guests are not only served in the best way but also get to immerse themselves in the experience before they even arrive. And with copywriting added to the project, I was able to take the information Jen and Jeff wanted to share and ensure that it not only spoke to potential guests in the most ideal way, but further connected their audience to the story of their farm, their brand, and their legacy.
