My fall book roundup was a big hit so I thought I would share another one for the winter season. This time I am sharing our most-loved and favorite winter and holiday books for the family library!
I love this time of year when the house is just a bit cozier than usual. When the tree is up and the white lights twinkle. Nothing beats curling up under a blanket with one of our favorite seasonal books from our collection. Earlier this year, I shared my heart behind the types of books I purchase for our family library.
One thing I strive to make sure of is that the books we add to our family library are wholesome and quality content. I’m amazed at some of the books and titles I see within the children’s section these days. And I realize that may make me sound like a crotchety old lady, but if I see one more book title with the word “fart”, “butt”, or “underwear” in it I am going to scream. Not to mention some children’s books are so poorly written and I’m not sure how they even make it on the shelf to begin with. But I digress…
When selecting new children’s books for our home library, I love finding those that inspire deeper conversation with the kids as we are reading. Ones that get their wheels turning and where we can apply it to our life in some way. I also love artwork that is inspiring and makes their eyes light up. Anything to fill their minds with light, positivity, and wholesome goodness.
And of course, during this time of year, I want their hearts and their minds filled with the spirit of the season and the reason for it all.
As we step into the season, the kids and I have been doing our seasonal tradition of putting away last season’s reads and refreshing with this season’s. So here are some of our favorites that I hope you enjoy too! I have them linked on my Amazon affiliate page for you to shop right here.
Do you have any winter or holiday favorites from your family library? Feel free to post them below because I always love adding more to ours!
