Nothing beats holidays in a small town. Especially when that town is Franklin, Tennessee. While this city has grown a lot (even since we moved here in 2019) and you can get your fair share of those who have a list of cons and all that has changed, there is still absolute magic to be found in this historic American town. It has made us truly realize that big city life is not for us. We have been drenched in the hospitality and charm that comes with small-town life and we will never be able to look back. If you are ever looking for a time to visit, the Fourth of July in Franklin Tennessee is one of my favorites!
We kicked off our day down on Main Street for the “Fourth on Main” celebration and festivities. There you will find vintage cars to drool over, activities for the kids, street vendors, good food, live music, and even a parade for the pets.
And while we love perusing some of our favorite shops on Main Street, we love seeing signs like this even more. Makes you feel right at home.
If you ever make it to Franklin, Tennessee on a holiday, you must make sure to stop for Buffalo Sausage. It’s a must-have every time for a family and perfect if you prefer low-carb options. Delicious!
After the Main Street festivities, we hit the pool and did some grilling. The Bearded Gent’s burgers were on point and plates were licked clean just in time to enjoy ice cream sundaes for dessert.
We then took a drive over to Leiper’s Fork to catch the epic flag display that Semler Cattle created. 1200 American flags and a mile-long drive to soak in the entire scene. It was absolutely incredible and just made us all choke up a bit. I don’t have any photos of this because I loved just soaking in it, but just below in our Fourth of July family vlog, you can absolutely catch the magic of it with us!
To end the day we headed for the fireworks show. Harlinsdale Farm puts on an epic one every year and we loved soaking in the patriotic display all together.
A simply and perfect Fourth of July in Franklin, Tennessee! How did you celebrate Fourth of July this year?
