Okay, to be fair, this town always makes me weak in the knees – wink! If you ever find yourself this way I wanted to share six things to enjoy during fall in Franklin, Tennessee. These are family-friendly activities that our family enjoys each year and that will allow you to take in the fall ambiance and that small-town charm!

Pumpkinfest on Main Street

Every October the entire town (plus a few thousand more) descend on our quaint little Main Street to enjoy Pumpkinfest. So many street vendors, artisans, live music, and good food to enjoy just before Halloween. We always comment that it feels like Disneyland’s Main Street with all of the festive fun. And don’t worry, there are plenty of styled spots for photo ops!

Franklin Farmer’s Market

Every Saturday morning you can find all of the local farmers, vendors, and artisans gathered together at the Factory in Franklin for Franklin’s Farmers Market (held outside in the back). The fall season brings giant mums, truckloads of all the different pumpkin varieties, and of course, all of the hearty and cold-weather produce for the best pot roasts and chili recipes.

Saturdays at Franklin Farmers Market. A beautiful part of the town where farmers and makers gather to sell their goods. It's one of my favorite weekly traditions and I am sharing a peek into the experience. Franklin’s Main Street

Of course, you have to find time to stroll down Franklin’s Main Street and take in all of the great shopping and eateries. There is such a Hallmark feel to it and our family has a few favorite spots to enjoy.

For shops, you have to be sure and step into White’s Mercantile and Tin Cottage. Both are your quintessential small-town shops filled with treasures. I also love Vinnie Louise for some wardrobe additions and City Farmhouse and Storehouse No.9 for antiques and home decor.

For eating, enjoy 55 South, Gray’s, and Biscuit Love (just to name a few) for great local food and that small-town vibe. For something sweet, step into Kilwin’s and Triple Crown Bakery
