Whether it’s reclaimed wood or faux beams added to your ceiling, I absolutely love the look, the texture, and the warmth that wood can add to a space. I truly believe this is something that can be done in small spaces as well as larger ones to help add visual interest and character to the home. This was a project we were about to dive into back when we lived in Arizona, but it’s absolutely at the top of our list when we find our home. I had to share these 10 wood beam scroll stoppers that I fell in love with while browsing ideas!
I adore the more neutral wood tone in these beams. That texture against the crisp white and all of that natural light. Goodness gracious. This project was done by Jenna Sue Design and the link below the image will guide you to her faux wood beam project and how you can re-create it in your home.

If you have a vaulted ceiling and prefer a less-is-more kind of approach, the single beam added to this vaulted ceiling is gorgeous. This could work in a living space as well.

For a more monochromatic look, I loved the approach used in this bathroom design. The wood beams and shiplap done in a raw finish add a wonderful rustic feel.

I just can’t stop staring at this rafter-style approach. So much visual interest in the design of these beams and I love what it adds to the space!

Here’s another simple approach to making a bigger statement. A single beam was added above a window in this master bath and it’s the perfect touch of texture against the cleaner, modern lines.

I absolutely love the grid layout of this next one. So much added dimension within this living space!

Here is a bolder approach to tying wood beams into your room design. Black shiplap ceiling with wood beams added. I absolutely love the character these elements bring together. Such a gorgeous space!

I love this framed opening. Another great example of a more simple approach using wood, but it adds so much dimension and character! This one is from Kate Mark Interiors and the link below the image will bring you to a great post she put together filled with different ways you can incorporate reclaimed wood into your space.

This is another easy approach no matter the amount of space you are working with. The added wood beams to this entryway make such a statement. If you don’t have a long entryway, you could create the same type of impact in a hallway as well.

This last one is a more rustic look with the wood beams paired with a shiplap ceiling. Such a beautiful kitchen nook with so much character!

Which one is your favorite look? If I had to choose, mine would probably be the rafter style. Have you ever added wood beams to a space in your home? I would love to hear about how your project went!
I’ll just be over here continuing to share my favorite ideas and inspiration as we get closer to purchasing our home and making these projects happen in real time. I can’t wait to bring you along for it all!
