What I Have My Eye On for This Fall Season

I don’t know about you, but with the change of each season, I sort of go into a nesting mode. It’s a mix of cleaning out, taking inventory, and adding new things to our home to invite the season in. Whether that be for someone’s closet or to further cultivate a beautiful home that we love being in. Sometimes these things are needs and sometimes they are wants, but as a family of seven I try and be as intentional as possible in this area. It’s not about blindly consuming when we see all of the “new” that hits store shelves each season. It’s about curating a home that inspires us daily and puts our hearts at ease. A place where we can melt into the comfort of home. I wanted to share with you what I have my eye on for this fall season because I have come across a handful of things that I think you would love too!

In my last Casual Friday post, I shared a very breezy look into my process and system with the oncoming of each new season. I am currently working on a full post for this, but you can get that bite-size peek right here. But let me share with you what I have my eye on for fall.

For the closet

I have had my Hunter boots for five years. And they have just now gotten to the point where I need to replace them. I love the quality of Hunter boots, I love how sturdy they are, and I wear them constantly through the fall and winter seasons. I am going to go with black again, but I want the matte finish this time. Worth every penny, in my opinion. I am planning on shopping these ones here, but keeping my eye on the Hunter Amazon shop for restocking and potentially reduced pricing right here. (Also, if you are new to Hunter boots, size up one from your regular shoe size for the best fit!)

This jacket from L.L. Bean is perfect for the rainy weather in the fall. Love the style and classic look to this one.

I have had my eye on a few things from Bohme. This sweater is gorgeous. I also just bought this blouse which I think is perfect for the fall season. And this dress is beautiful!

Old Navy currently has some good finds. I grabbed this henley sweatshirt. And I loved this vintage sweatshirt as well as this tunic sweater.

Back to shoes, my absolute favorite fashion sneaker will forever and always be the classic white Reebok’s. Yes, I love the brand and quality so much that I even collaborated with them way back when I was pregnant with Brooks. I have had my current pair for the last four years and it’s time to replace them.

I have had these Born leather sneakers on my list forever and I think I finally need to grab them. Such a great casual look that makes an outfit look so put together!

And I have been a fan for the last year of the fair isle-style sweaters. So classic and so cozy to carry you through fall and winter. I am still keeping my eye out for more options, but this cardigan from L.L. Bean is fantastic and this crewneck sweater is a great look too! Pair that one with some great denim and a great pair of cognac combat style lace-up boots? Hello, sweater weather!

For the home

These terracotta pumpkins from Pottery Barn are such a darling look.

Afloral has the best, by far, faux stems and florals. Ones that are affordable and don’t look cheap. I had my eye on these faux ramosa plum stems last year and never pulled the trigger on them. Not missing out this time!

While I don’t do classic Halloween decor, I do love adding a few accents here and there to enjoy for October. Grandin Road has these crow figurines and I think they would be the perfect touch to a bookcase or tabletop.

Adding layers and extra cozy touches is a must for the fall and winter. These patchwork throw pillow covers are such a great look!

I’m always on the lookout for decorative objects that could be placed on top of a stack of coffee table books or styled on a shelf. I love the idea of pears in the fall and this stoneware one would be so pretty!

This throw blanket is large and I love the knit look to add to a sofa or at the foot of a bed.

Loved this set of decorative glass bottles and wood tray. Not sure about the scale and would have to see it in person, but a simple faux fall stem in each would be a beautiful touch for a shelf or tabletop.

I’m really wanting to try a flameless candle look to up the ambiance. I’m going to try out these flameless candles and I will keep you updated!

Faux pumpkins are a favorite and these ones from Wayfair might be the most realistic ones I have ever come across.

It’s mug season again! Looking forward to busting out my choffee and enjoying a warm start to every morning. This mug from McGee & Co. is beautiful. Simple the way I like it of course, and beautiful!

Loved this wood decorative bowl from Target. Perfect to toss in a few favorite oil bottles next to my Aria diffuser or add to a bookcase.

Saw this faux berry arrangement in person the last time I was at Target and it is stunning!

And I love the wood tone and character of this wood bowl that is also from Target.

I always try and approach each new season with intention. It's about curating and not buying just to buy. Over on KaraLayne.com I am sharing what I have my eye on for this fall season!
