I’ve heard before that they say people can grow apart in marriage. Getting married at 19 and 21 years old I’m sure there was a possibility for that. However, as I look back on the past 11 years together, all I can think is how beautifully we have grown together. Sure, we are still figuring it all out. We are still making mistakes and getting it right, but between the really good and the really bad, there has been one constant. And it’s you.
There is a mile long list of qualities that I find myself constantly admiring about you despite what my persistent nagging and mood swings may tell you, but the one that is always in the fore front? Your unwavering ability to love. You have patience for those around you that I am in awe of your ability to focus on what’s really important and let go of the rest. Thank you for showing me what it is to have grace and be human and accept others for who they are. Most importantly, thank you for loving me through it all. You’ll never truly know what a difference you have made in my life and the kind of life you have created for our children.
Happy 33 years, my dear. You make growing old exciting. Here’s to this year and so many more to come.
With all my love…
