I’ve never been a big breakfast person. Breakfast for dinner? Sure. A big first meal to start my day? Not really. And I naturally lean towards intermittent fasting since I don’t feel like eating until about 11:00 AM every day. One quick and easy approach I have been taking to my first meal of the day is this Strawberry Banana Green smoothie recipe. In the past, I have tried a few green smoothie recipes, but was never satisfied. Mostly because if I am going to enjoy greens I would rather do it with a salad and not in liquid form. However, this recipe has the perfect fruity taste while also packing in those servings of greens.
If you haven’t yet started adding chia seeds into your food, it’s such an easy way to pack in a lot of healthy heat in what you eat. Full of nutrients, antioxidants, fiber, and protein, chia seeds also expand helping you to feel more full after meals. Which also cuts out on the snacking amount in my experience!
Throw all of your ingredients into the blender and give it a good mix. It makes a lot! And you can also add in a protein powder if you use one or any other supplement powder you might be incorporating. I always add in my Sulfurzyme supplement to get it in for the day first thing.
It doesn’t have a spinach taste at all. All you will taste is the strawberry and banana which makes it so enjoyable.
And there you have it. An easy, simple, and delicious Strawberry Banana green smoothie that you will crave every morning. Do you have a go-to smoothie recipe you love?
