When it comes to giving gifts, I always try my hardest to make sure it has some sort of deeper meaning. It’s easy just to go and buy things to fill the quota for a day that calls for a gift. However, in adulthood and maybe this is just me, I feel that if there is something I want I simply go out and buy it myself or wait for the opportunity. But when we can give a gift that means something, it embodies exactly what the word calls for. So I wanted to compile meaningful gift ideas for Mother’s Day. Something deeper than just flowers or perfume – something that will be a gift she will love to receive.

Also, the idea of a framed portrait would be touching to receive. We gathered all of the grandkids and great-grandkids for a portrait and gifted my mother and grandmother two years ago for Christmas. They both had tears in their eyes when they opened them and it meant the world to all of us. Perhaps you have a portrait together from your wedding or maybe one from last holiday season.
